YES Valencia

We relocated our family from Canada to Valencia in July 2022. When starting to plan for our move 6 - 8 months ago, we did not know where to start and knew we needed some help.

Working with the YES Valencia team - Linda, Zanda and Janis was the best decision we could have made. Our relocation would not have been possible without their amazing support.

Linda and Zanda spent time with us, touring Valencia, exploring school options, neighbourhoods, finding housing, parking, local activities, options for cars, supporting the visa application process, obtaining the appropriate documentation on arrival - TIE, SIP, town hall appointments, introducing us to other expats in Valencia. We felt so well supported and had the most wonderful and easy transition to life in Valencia with our 2 young kids!

They are the efficient, effective and punctual and are just the most lovely people to spend time with. We feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to get to know them!

How do you even begin to say thank you. We moved to Valencia in November last year and Linda, Janis and Zanda have made our transition seamless or at least seamless. From my first Skype call with Linda, she had a way to make me feel at ease about our move. We have had a few problems in finding the right house but without their help I would have been a crying heap on the floor. They assisted us in finding a school for our son, arranged for bank accounts and utilities and drove us around house hunting always with a smile on their faces. Linda and Janis are super friendly, very knowledgeable and trustworthy relocation specialists, who go out of their way to solve your problems, especially if you are not fluent in Spanish. Linda and Zanda are absolutely wonderful. Working with them was by far the best decision we made with regards to our move. Finding and signing flat rental and phone contracts, bank agreements, picking phone plans, sorting out our NIE cards, registering with the empadronamiento... all in rapid fire Castillian... would have been nuts without them. We would have had no idea what we were actually agreeing to. They were our advocates and made everything so easy. We really appreciated how reliable and responsive they were, too. It feels great to be settled here. The only sad part about this is that we aren't hanging out with them anymore!

Linda was extremely kind and helpful to me, outlining exactly what I needed to do to gain residency in Spain (which can seem like a complicated process; what documents I needed, how to get them, how to organise an appointment...) She even recommended a tax advisor! Her prices are very reasonable compared to other gestors and lawyers in Valencia, so if you've just arrived and need help with the complexities of the system, you should e-mail Linda right away.

The team from Yes Valencia was incredibly helpful in helping us find our dream house just outside of Valencia. While still living outside of Spain, we had our initial chat with Žanete over Zoom. She built a profile based on a combination of what we said were looking for as well as a lot of pointed questions that we had not even thought of.

We moved to Valencia with a plan... that we eventually threw out and readapted multiple times and the Yes Valencia team supported us the whole way. Since finding the right house took longer (and waaay more house viewings) than we initially anticipated, they stepped up and helped us find a rental, negotiate the rental conditions, they helped with paperwork and answered close to a million questions not just about real estate but relocation to Valencia in general.

When we finally found the house, they helped us secure the mortgage and find a lawyer to ensure that all the house documents were in order. Even now as we're enjoying our new house, they still keep helping us out with contacts for electricians/ handymen/ construction workers etc.

I have lived in 4 countries which were not my own, the current one being Spain (Valencia). Just before moving here in April 2018, I heard about the services offered by Linda and Janis of ‘Moving to Valencia’ through a friend who came to Spain around 6 months ago; she had made very positive comments, saying how happy she was with Linda and her assistance.

From my 1st contact with Linda, I could see that my friend was absolutely right. The services and assistance that Moving to Valencia offers are quite exceptional. I already speak a little Spanish, possibly even just enough to make my own arrangements with governmental bodies, but immediately felt so much more at ease with Linda’s advice, guidance and physical presence: she took the potential stress out of everything with her experience, fluent Spanish, patience and in-depth knowledge of how things work (and don’t work) here.

It can be very daunting moving to a new country, trying to officially register for anything and set up various appointments, anything from choosing an internet and mobile phone provider, to necessary ID documentation at the right local government offices, opening the right kind of bank account etc. I soon came to realise that the assistance and ‘hands on’ approach from Linda & Janis was crucial, thorough, very professional & polite.

The result in my case, is that within only 3 months I am already officially resident and have all I need, including a sound health insurance plan, all thanks to the indispensable services that Moving to Valencia offers!
